BiObernai - Organic Fair Alsace
A major event in Alsace and in France, BiObrnai has welcomed, since its launch in 2004, nearly 400,000 visitors (with an annual average since 2015 of nearly 24,000 visitors). Since 2017, BiObernai is labeled Ecomanifestation Alsace level 3 (level of excellence) for its strong eco-responsible commitment through the implementation of more than 75 concrete actions limiting its ecological impact.
The 2021 edition will be dedicated to the themes of interrelation and interdependence.
"The current situation shows us that our lives are totally dependent on others and on our environment..
For example, everything we consume, we owe at least to the earth and its ecosystem and to those who cultivate it for us. Take agood look at your life: everything you own, everything you use, everything you can do (travel to the other side of the world, get around, have fun, take care of yourself...), you owe it to a whole chain of actors who work to make it possible for you, that's what we call interdependence or interrelationship. Maurice Meyer - Founding Director of BiObernai
Being truly aware of this calls for values such as respect and recognition for all that is given to us, and at the same time invites us to cultivate our connection to others, to the earth, to cooperate, to share.
The event invites visitors to become familiar with the "organic culture", to meet and exchange with the actors of the sector, from producers to distributors, from craftsmen to organizations, associations and institutions that work to defend and make the voice of this fast-growing consumption mode heard, increasingly popular with consumers. With a different theme each year, highlighting emerging societal trends, consumption and working methods that respect the earth and the environment, BiObernai also embodies humanist values of cooperation, sharing, solidarity, equity and ethics. A friendly image that appeals to an increasingly numerous and aware public over the years.
