Composition & description

Oil rich in Omega 9 (about 70% monounsaturated oleic fatty acid) and Omega 6 (about 25% essential polyunsaturated linoleic fatty acid), supplemented by about 5% saturated fatty acids (of which 4/5th of palmitic acid and about 1/5th of stearic acid). It contains a significant amount of vitamin A, including provitamin A (beta-carotene), which is known to give the skin a glow. It also contains vitamin E (antioxidant) and phytosterols (softeners and emollients). Apricot kernel oil has no particular nutritional interest and is rather reserved for cosmetic use.

Properties

Softening, soothing, healing, nourishing, regulating and revitalizing

It is a very gentle and versatile oil that can be used on the face and the whole body, particularly for massage. It is very well tolerated by children and fragile skin. Its touch is unctuous and dry (no greasy feeling) and it penetrates quickly to the hypodermis, it has a discreet smell of almond. It is a first choice oil for cosmetics and can be found in moisturizing baby care products as well as for nourishing and toning fine and tired skin. It is suitable for all skin types (its comedogenic index is 1) and in particular for dry to combination skin, mature and tired skin, and baby skin.
It is also a very appreciated oil by soap makers for its softness and its respect for delicate skins.
