Properties

Softening, soothing, healing, nourishing, regulatingIndispensable
in the Cretan diet, olive oil is most widely used in food. In cosmetics, it can be used in make-up removers or for oil baths for dry areas (hands or hair for example). Its properties are very interesting, but its very slow penetration and its greasy feel do not favour its use in daily care.
On the other hand, it is widely used in saponification (it would be the "queen of oils"). It combines very well with coconut oil and gives very soft soaps that leave a thin moisturizing film on the skin without suffocating it. When used properly, it helps to harden the skin.
