Composition & description

This oil comes from the seeds of the safflower flower also called "false saffron".

Safflower is an annual flowering plant from the East. It is found in the wild in Iran, India, Egypt, Asia, Central and South America. Its flowers are used in the Mediterranean basin only for their dyeing properties, which give a specific colour very close to that of saffron (hence the name "false saffron"). As for the seeds, they are widely used in the food and cosmetic fields, for their oleaginous properties and their nutritional richness.
Safflower oil is amber in colour and very rich in vitamin E and anti-ageing serotonin, omega 6 and contains anti-redness vitamin K. Its composition is approximately 70-75% polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega 6), 10-13% monounsaturated fatty acids (omega 9) and nearly 10% saturated fatty acids.

Properties

Antioxidant, vasoconstrictor, anti-redness, anti-ageing, nourishing, repairing (body and hair), emollient, vasoconstrictor ( healthy diet).
It has regenerating, toning, nourishing and anti-dehydration properties. It is also a circulatory stimulant used to treat redness. With a discreet smell reminiscent of cereals and a very good skin penetration, it is indicated for dry and sensitive, mature and blotchy skin. It is a multi-purpose oil (face, body, hair); an essential ally for tired or ringed skin and for hair care.
