100% organic shea butter without any additives, produced by grinding the shea nuts, adding water to obtain an emulsion, heating the emulsion and separating the fats.
Shea nuts grow on Shea trees of the genus Vitellaria paradoxa subsp. paradoxe.
For cosmetic use only

Composition & description

From the Shea tree, it contains unsaturated fatty acids (40% oleic acid) and omega 9, saturated fatty acids (steric and palmitic acid) as well as waxes and a large proportion of unsaponifiable matter. It is a solid butter that becomes oily above 30°C. Shea butter is only used in cosmetics; it has no particular nutritional value.

Properties

Nourishing, protective, soothing and healing, anti-ageing, slightly anti-inflammatoryIdeal for
massage to soften the skin (especially the stomach of pregnant women), it is indicated for dry skin and hair as well as for protective care (cold, sun...) and is suitable for fragile and irritated skin. It is often found in the composition of balms or lip sticks.
Finally, it is a precious ingredient in saponification where it favours both the foam and the hardness of the soap while bringing it a lot of softness because of its important percentage of unsaponifiables.
